Chitika doesn't reveal everything about why they approve a site, but basically it has too meet their guidelines. Normally it takes 24-72 hours. Mine took about 2 days. They may have sped this up since. Your site shouldn't be hate related, promote illegal activities and a few other common sense things. It's basically just common sense stuff, but the basic guidelines are on Chitika's site. Any decent content site with a reasonable design should be approved. Hope that helps.
