Support Burma Please

Thursday 18 October 2007 @ 7:00 am

The country of Burma is being systematically raped by authoritarian government who is committing atrocities on it’s people, mainly the peaceful monks. Reports of monks being bludgeoned to death and dumped in thousands in the jungle. While the veracity of these reports is difficult to confirm, it can safely be assumed that since a military junta has taken control of the country “all is not well”.

The plot is the same as any other. Oil and money. The profiting of a few at the expense of the many. A government not run for all of the people. We are not suggesting that their should be military intervention as there has been in Iraq, since such intervention seems to be squarely aimed at consolidating the economic benefit for the intervening country.

But what is disturbing to us is the slaughter of monks. Such an act is the most heinous crime in the view of icooltools.com. We are pro all religions and religious personages from whatever religion and of the view that these should be held above the state in all matters and free from persecution.

It is our view that the most degraded men on this earth are those that will rape, kill and murder for money. It is our governments who set our laws prohibiting individual murder that flaunt the laws themselves.

A systematic deterioration in human rights backed by a campaign of “science” which seeks to nihilize religion and peoples rights to their own spiritual beliefs is rampant upon this world. It is educated into our children, pumped into us by mainstream media.

Cutting of your own feet:

The fools that swing their guns and swords. Like parasites on a tree. The civilizing influence of religion and religious philosophy has been all that that has kept this world alive through several crisis. Men of vision have communicated the spiritual truths to those that would listen and given them hope to continue existence. The end of a society comes when these are forgotten and a totalitarianism results. The most loathsome are those that pretend to have god behind them, but are killing in the name of God.

The mass media portrays a despicable world, however I know that there are some sane people that see through this and it is only to you that we are writing this. You may think that all has reached such a degraded state that it is not worth going on but hold on because it is not like that. Do the best you can and hold on to your ideals, and never join in because you have been “worn down into agreement”. Your views do matter. Since the governments we get are a result of the level of each individual person.

A government is not thinking:

It is the average of agreement and is not entirely sane. It is up to you to be sane and alert. As a result of this we see excesses taking place and stupidities. Some of these go on for many years. It is a fair bet that you have seen much of this but it is swept under the table mostly. You are constantly educated that the problems are too big for you to do anything about it, so you go into an apathy.

But as long as you have your reasoning mind, you do not need to support anything you feel is destructive to men societies and earth. You do not need to necessarily attack it. But simply withdraw your support and begin to support groups and organizations that are pro-life, pro-sanity and are not just a seething pit of justifications as too why they must kill.

As such you will have done your part.

Statcounter Refuses Advertiser Dollars for 3rd Party Privacy Leaks

Saturday 14 April 2007 @ 7:24 pm

In a very public way Statcounter which is an awesome statistics provider and one that i personally use on one of my main sites, has drawn attention to solicitations by other statistic gathers who have begun inserting cookies.

I am very impressed that Statcounter management has turned this down. There are much more user friendly ways of monetizing a site, which have to do with providing a user friendly service that people recommend.

This is the path they have taken. Surprisingly this revelation has created a storm on Digg and their new Statcounter blog has  been dug over 842 times which no doubt would have shot them on to page one of the popular social bookmarking site.

Statcounter is free with paid options but the free one is fine for most small web sites. I am

very happy with the reporting and service, plus they are unobtrusive and not constantly shoving stuff down our throats. The sort of guys that I am happy to support when the time comes to upgrade, which could be soon:)
